Kirsten Goldstein

Kirsten has been dancing all her life, but never realized how much she loved it until she was 15. For her Junior and Senior year of high school she attend the Perpich Center for Arts Education in Golden Valley MN. There she was exposed to modern dance in the Twin Cities Dance Community and worked with local artists from companies such as Stuart Pimpsler Dance & Theater, Shapiro and Smith Dance, and ARENA Dance. She then attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cites for 3 semesters as a dance major where she worked with more local artists from companies;Penny Freeh of James Sewell Ballet, Margie Fargnoli, Erin Thompson, TU Dance, Flying Foot Forum, Voice of Culture, Black Label Movement, and many other visiting artists. She has a wide range of movement experience from one end with Ballet and Jazz to there other end with African and Modern.

Kirsten is excited to be moving to Bemidji where she will attend BSU for International Studies. She is also a licenced Zumba Instructor. Here at First City dance she will be teaching Ballet, Modern and Zumba. Kirsten can’t wait to working with students for both dance and Zumba!
